Big Truck Accessories:
Right for You and Quality, Too!
Steve and Copper Runyon opened up Hub City Chrome in the fall of 1997. You've all heard the expression of starting a business on a "shoe string"; Copper laughingly refers to their opening budget as "dental floss." But here it is eight years later, and the two are a bit wiser, and admittedly a lot grayer.
Steve drove for over 23 years, all the while trying to figure out how to get out of the truck without getting away from trucks. Heck, he even had the name, Hub City Chrome, picked out 4 years before opening the store. (He used to wake Copper in the middle of the night with name ideas.)
The Runyons believe that the best form of customer service is product knowledge, education, and quality products above all.
PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE: knowing what will and will not fit the year, make, and model of your truck. This is not an easy task. If you have shopped elsewhere and received the wrong items, you can understand this firsthand.
EDUCATION: This concept may sound odd, but educating their customers about how to best spend their money is very important to the couple. Example: You can spend $.30 on a chrome steel nut cover which will rust within 6 months and need to be replaced. Or you can spend $1.00 on a chrome plastic nut cover, made in the USA, and not have to worry for 4 or 5 years. Steve and Copper will tell you the pros and cons, and then let you make an educated decision.
QUALITY FIRST: Possibly Hub City Chrome's most unique quality of customer service is "Quality Before Price" and their commitment to USA-made products. (If you have ever been in their store, you have heard the speech!)
Products made in the USA are often more expensive, but they fit better, are made out of superior materials, and last longer. How many times do you want to buy the same item? And after you've replaced that "cheaper" item several times because it didn't last, how much money have your really saved? Buy quality items from the start and you have saved money in the end.
The Hub City Chrome 3000 sq.ft. showroom is located in Chiloquin, Oregon at milepost 234 on Hwy 97, 42 miles north of Klamath Falls (formerly known as Thunderbeast Park). Easy access; plenty of parking! Stop in!
